An incredible biography of a young serviceman's time in The RAF, who saw action in Burma, involved in counter intelligence work and meeting the individuals who determined the course of war.

On his travels in his spare time he played football in Bagdad with Joe Harvey who later became Manager of Newcastle United.

He returned to become a teacher, Headmaster in Alnwick ,Northumberland and a part time referee.

His most important match was England v Scotland played at Wembley. The under 21's including Sir Bobby Charlton and brother Jack ,Geoff Hurst went on to greater things in 1966.
